The vision we have for Off The Beaten Path is a family friendly, kid friendly site that promotes interest in outdoor activities, curiosity about the world around us and lifelong learning. We'd like to think we have the market cornered on all that but we know we don't. There are lots of other sources, sites and writers that have similar ideas. We started the articles section to pull in relevant outside material in an organized way. We keep them on topic, proof read them carefully to ensure high standards and give attribution to the source. We'll add some comments of our own, which will appear in bold red. We may also add some imagery from our archive.

We're constantly looking for new stuff as we write our own. If you have something that would fit in here, especially your own work, feel free to drop us a line.

In the meantime, we hope you find something useful, helpful or interesting on our website.
